Ski touring

Discover

Fresh tracks in fresh snow

Some prefer freshly groomed slopes for carving. For others, happiness is an intense effort followed by an exhilarating descent, off the beaten track, in fresh powdery snow.

If you’re one of the latter, try ski touring. After climbing the mountain on skis, remove the skins from underneath them and glide down the valley through the magnificent snowy landscape.
Have a look at the suggestions below.

WARNING:
Ski touring is an activity that involves a certain amount of risk. Please ensure that you have adequate knowledge and ability before going out on your own. If this is not the case, a professional guide will be delighted to accompany and advise you.

Night skitours

Warning danger!

Night skitours on the slopes are extremely dangerous and forbidden.

The snow grooming machines are towed by a cable of more de 1,000 meters which can be stretched and whip the air brutally. These cables are invisible at night, and a collision with one of them can be fatal.

The region's resorts alternately offer touring evenings during which the preparation of the slopes is delayed. There are also alternatives to train at night without risking your life or disturbing the work done on ski domains.

Find below the two possibilities offered in Verbier.
