Verbier
An international resort
Verbier is a world-famous holiday resort for sports and adventure enthusiasts. Located on a sunny plateau, in a majestic alpine setting, it faces the Combins and Mont-Blanc massifs.
With such a vast, diverse skiing area, skiers and snowboarders can revel in the unlimited possibilities that Verbier offers, on runs of all levels of difficulty and legendary freeride routes (secured, marked but ungroomed). These itineraries allow you to make the best of the snow in secure conditions. Regulars will, no doubt, already be familiar with the famous Mont-Gelé itinerary. This iconic summit, which is 3,023 m high, offers a spectacular view over Les Attelas.
Skiing and much more
Verbier is, without a doubt, the most well-known resort in Les 4 Vallées, the biggest ski area entirely in Switzerland. With 410 km of slopes, ski touring routes and fun zones, not to mention the legendary after-ski scene, it’s paradise for skiers. And, what’s more, after an intense day on the slopes, you can dance and sample local specialities while still wearing your ski gear! A unique atmosphere!
Mountain bike paradise
In the summer, Verbier and the Val de Bagnes have a rich and varied programme of events and activities, all of which you can enjoy in this magnificent alpine setting. These include hiking, mountain biking, golf and paragliding as well as a showjumping competition, a classical music festival and a variety of opportunities to discover the local history and culture. Mountain bike enthusiasts are spoilt for choice, with 9 downhill and 23 enduro routes, as well as 500 km of cross-country routes. The typical alpine villages and the nature reserve in the Val de Bagnes have a lot to offer. As for Verbier, it also owes its reputation to the fact that it has maintained the charm of a typical alpine village.
Throughout the year, there is always something to do, be it concerts, festivals or tastings. Whatever the season, you have plenty to choose from.
