Lac des Vaux
Fontanet-Lac des Vaux
This is a medium to difficult hike, which will take you up above Verbier to the Lac des Vaux.
Starting from Les Ruinettes, head towards the Attelas chairlift (Blunt) and then take the path which crosses the river in the direction of the Creblet pass (col du Creblet). The ascent to the pass ends with a difficult, winding path but you will be rewarded by the breathtaking view over the Lac des Vaux and the magnificent panorama of the surrounding area. Enjoy a well-deserved break in this unique setting.
You may be familiar with the winter landscape up here, but in the summer, the lake is transformed into a wild and enchanting place, surrounded by beautiful white cottongrass flowers.
From the lake, follow the path up to the pass (col des Vaux) and then make your way down to Les Ruinettes along the yellow trail, which, in the winter, is none other than the famous Attelas ski run.
