Enjoy summer differently
Known chiefly for its ski area, Verbier has just as much to offer during the warmer months. Mountain biking and hiking may be the key summer activities, but there are many others to choose from as well, whether you are looking for adventure and thrills or relaxation and mindfulness.
Come and find your own personal balance between the two, and enjoy a perfect holiday in the mountains.
Mont 4 Zipline
This amazing zip line is guaranteed to give you an adrenaline rush! It’s 1,400 m long, with a 383 m vertical drop, and allows you to reach speeds of up to 130 km/h! Just thinking about it makes you shiver in anticipation! Starting from the top of the Mont-Fort, (3,330 m), fly over the Tortin glacier and land gently at the Col des Gentianes.
Scooters
Try something new! Come and hurtle down the slopes on a cross-country scooter equipped with brakes and a suspension system. Choose between the route from Les Ruinettes to Verbier, or the one from Savoleyres to La Tzoumaz.
Sunrise at the Mont-Fort
Imagine waking up in the middle of the night, climbing up to an altitude of over 3,000 m, waiting in silence…and then watching the mountains begin to light up and glow as the sun rises. This is an experience that you will never forget. To cap it all, the panoramic view from the top makes this beautiful sunrise even more memorable.
Mountain yoga
Experience the feeling of inner calm after a yoga session in the heart of the mountains. Emilien Badoux, former freeride world champion, runs two yoga classes: one just after sunrise at the Mont-Fort, to prolong that unique feeling of serenity, and the other on specific mornings in the beautiful La Chaux pasture, opposite the Combins massif.
Paragliding
How would you like to go paragliding and see the world from above? Take off from Les Ruinettes, catch the air currents and admire all the snow-capped peaks in the Val de Bagnes. A number of paragliding schools offer tandem flights, so get ready for take-off!
Via ferrata
This activity is becoming increasingly popular. Climb the mountain, rung by rung, on one of two routes on the Monts de Cion. Starting from Les Gentianes, you can choose between a relatively easy route and one which is more demanding. Come and surpass yourself!
Via cordata
How about going up to the top of the Mont-Fort on foot? This route allows you to climb the mountain ridge and reach the summit – all the more satisfying knowing that you did it without using any lifts! A mountain guide will accompany you and explain the basics of roping up and mountain climbing.
