The GRAND RAID BCVS - Swiss Mountain Bike Race Marathon is the largest mountain bike race in Europe, with an average of 2'500 participants.
The Marathon departs from Verbier and finishes, more than 125 km and over 5,000 m of altitude difference later, in Grimentz, in the Val d’Annivers. There are three other departure points: Nendaz (92 km), Hérémence (68 km) and Evolène (37 km).
The GRAND RAID BCVS is in the XCM (cross-country marathon) category and features on the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) and "Swiss Cycling" calendars.
In the field of mountain biking, the GRAND RAID BCVS is legendary.
