Savoleyres- La Croix-de-Coeur
From the station at the top of Savoleyres (which can be accessed from Verbier or La Tzoumaz), take the path leading towards Pierre Avoi until you reach Col de la Marlène. Enjoy the views of Verbier as well as Val de Bagnes and its peaks.
From Col de la Marlène, take the path leading downhill towards “La Vatze” and enjoy the views over the Rhone Valley. Where will your gaze take you? On clear days, you can see the Upper Valais summits. At the end of the path, you'll join a dirt track and after a short while you'll find yourself on the Nord piste, in Les Etablons.
From there, a path through blueberry bushes will take you towards Verbier until La Croix-de-Cœur restaurant, which is open from June to October.
There’s the option of returning to Verbier and La Tzoumaz by cable car by walking up to the top of the ski lifts. (1.15 km, 30 minutes uphill from Croix-de-Cœur). Those feeling strong can continue their hike along the Planie and take the ski lifts at Les Ruinettes to head back down to Verbier. It is also possible to head down from Les Etablons by walking through the forest until the village of La Tzoumaz.
