by Dominique Perret
Legend of freeride skiing and one of the sport’s pioneers, Dominique Perret, who was named as the best freeride skier of the century at the 2000 Board Awards in Paris, is still at the forefront of this discipline which gained popularity in the early ’80s. He grew up near La Chaux de Fond, in the Swiss Jura, where he was basically “born on skis”. With over 28 films to his name and a long career that saw him tackle the most spectacular descents in all four corners of the world, Dom wanted to share his experience and make mountain safety a priority. Founder of WeMountain, he talks to us about the project’s beginnings and his passionate vision of speed and snow.
