Each summer, for over 25 years, music lovers from around the world have come together in the majestic Swiss Alps to enjoy the unique encounters between great masters of classical music and the most promising musicians of the new generation. For 17 days, from 15 to 31 July 2022, the Verbier Festival will enchant you with unforgettable performances, musical experiences and programmes that are guaranteed to captivate you.

SALLE DES COMBINS | Verbier church
Great masters, musical discoveries and a breathtaking panorama are all part of this 27th edition. The Verbier Festival’s programme features nearly 60 concerts by today’s most revered artists and exciting emerging talents. The Salle des Combins hosts all the symphonic and vocal concerts by the three festival orchestras, piano recitals by Evgeny Kissin and Grigory Sokolov, and two non-classical evenings. The church in Verbier, which is more intimate, is home to the festival’s many solo and chamber music recitals.

The Verbier Festival is an important springboard in the careers of today’s most talented young musicians. Each summer, they take part in the Verbier Festival Academy (VFA), Verbier Festival Orchestra (VFO) – led by Music Director Valery Gergiev – and Verbier Festival Junior Orchestra (VFJO), where they are inspired by great masters and fine-tune their talent. Witness these musicians in action on the festival’s two main stages and at more than 100 free masterclasses, rehearsals and concerts which are open to everyone.

Unlimited offers a myriad of free and accessible activities for all ages. With four themes presented all day long (Playground, Talks & Docs, Philanthropy Forum and After Dark), Unlimited awakens the curiosity of children, night owls, classical music novices and aficionados alike.
