The Verbier Express will now also run in the summer
For the first time, the Verbier Express will run between Geneva Airport and Le Châble on weekends during the summer of 2026, building on the success of its seven winter seasons. A RailAway offer allows passengers to enjoy the train journey and a ski pass in Verbier at a reduced price.
After seven successful winter seasons, the Verbier Express is taking a new step forward: from 27 June 2026, it will also run on summer weekends, every Saturday and Sunday until 13 September 2026. Two direct trains a day in each direction will link Geneva Airport to Le Châble, Valais. There’s no need to change trains: the Verbier Express takes passengers straight to the foot of the resort.
Season after season, the Verbier Express has demonstrated the public’s appetite for direct trains to leisure destinations. During the 2025/2026 winter season, some days saw more than 370 passengers on board, and passenger numbers are rising year on year.
Sales of combined train and ski packages more than doubled between the 2022/2023 and 2024/2025 seasons, and have continued to rise, with an increase of over 20% between the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 seasons. This momentum has convinced the partners to take the plunge and launch the first-ever summer edition.
RailAway offer: up to 70% off the journey
To mark this summer launch, a RailAway offer is available throughout the service period: when travelling on the Verbier Express, up to 70% off the train journey, 30% off the Verbier ski lift pass and 20% off a selection of summer activities in Verbier (scooters, suspended walkway, leisure park, e-bikes).
