After three awards in 2018, 2019 and 2021, Verbier has been voted Switzerland’s Best Ski Resort for the fourth time in five years. And after the most prestigious win marked by the world award in 2021, Verbier has been voted World’s Best ski resort for a second year and receives this accolade from the World Ski Awards 2022!
Thanks to the continued support of all Verbier’s partners, residents, and resort fans, Verbier managed to collect the highest number of votes among twenty-four other prestigious destinations around the world. This award underlines the loyalty and strength of the community of Verbier supporters.

This victory is that of the entire destination, of the shopkeepers, hoteliers and other professionals of Verbier and the Val de Bagnes; it is also that of our daily ambassadors, the secondary and annual residents, the seasonal workers and our loyal customers”, declares Simon Wiget, Director of Verbier Tourisme. Laurent Vaucher, Director of Téléverbier agrees: “We are very happy to win the title of World Best Ski Resort 2022. The investments made in various infrastructures reward the work of all the providers in the region.”
Providers in Verbier also awarded
When Verbier won the prize for the World’s best ski destination, its partners were not to be outdone. The World Ski Awards also honoured the W Hotel Verbier, which for the seventh consecutive year won the Best Ski Hotel in Switzerland and the Best Ski Hotel in the World. Pierre-Henri Bovsovers, General Manager of the W Verbier since its opening in 2013 is very grateful: “It is thanks to the professionalism and passion of our Talents, as well as the trust of our owners that this is possible. We are constantly looking to improve whether it is in terms of service, infrastructure or hotel facilities, we are always moving forward and we make the satisfaction of our guests, our priority.”
Tesla Transfers also won the World's Best Ski Transfer Operator 2022 award, as did Leo Trippi, voted World's Best Ski Travel Agent 2022. Verbier warmly congratulates them all.

Celebrating excellence in tourism
The World Ski Awards™ organization describes itself as "the only global initiative to recognize, reward and celebrate excellence in ski tourism." The public and industry professionals are invited to vote, with the latter's votes carrying more weight. Launched in 2013, this initiative has awarded industry professionals each year in multiple categories, such as "Best Ski Resort", "Best Ski Hotel", "Best Ski Boutique Hotel", or "Best Ski Chalet".
