The Swiss Ski Lifts Training Centre has just launched the “Call of Heroes” campaign. It’s a call for young people to come and discover the ski lift industry. Most industries are now being impacted by demographic change, and the ski lift industry is no exception – many technical experts will be retiring in the next few years.
Our discovery days are a chance for young people to find out what it takes to be an apprentice ski lift mechanic or apprentice ski lift employee. In short, it’s all about how to become an Alpine Tech Hero!
On 23 and 27 March 2026, young people aged 12 and over will have the opportunity to experience the world of ski lifts first-hand at various ski lift companies in Switzerland.
These taster days are free of charge and open to anyone who is interested and meets the age requirements. You can sign up with the company of your choice.
