We are delighted to announce that Verbier will host the 2028 FIS Junior World Alpine Ski Championships. The International Ski Federation (FIS) has officially awarded the organisation of this major event to the resort.
Following the Elite World Championships scheduled to take place in Crans-Montana in 2027, the world’s top young alpine skiers will gather in Verbier to compete for the Junior World titles. With a strong track record in organising top-level competitions, the resort regularly hosts European Cup events as well as Swiss Championships.
The 2028 edition will mark a first for Verbier, which will host the Junior World Alpine Ski Championships in the heart of the 4Vallées. This award once again highlights Verbier’s position among the leading destinations for international skiing and demonstrates the confidence placed in the destination and its infrastructure to host major sporting events.
