Opening Session
The Opening Session is one of our most popular and successful annual events. It will take place on Saturday, 7 December 2024.
What’s it all about? For this event, you dress up as Saint Nicholas (a.k.a. Santa Claus) and head to the Verbier ski area to celebrate the start of the winter season. There will be a great programme that is sure to make it an unforgettable day.
Part of the funds raised by your participation will be donated to the “Verbier4All” association. The association provides free winter and summer sports equipment for people with reduced mobility.

Frequently asked questions
Here are some FAQs and our answers. We hope you will find them helpful:
Absolutely! Annual pass holders don’t need to buy an extra ticket. Access to this event is included with your annual pass. All you have to do to take part is come dressed as Saint Nicholas (or Santa Claus as you may know him)!
Not to worry! You can still come and enjoy the day’s entertainment by buying a Verbier 1-day pass.
Yes you do! This is what the whole day is about, so you really do have to turn up in your very best Santa outfit! If you don’t, unfortunately, you will have to pay the same price for the day as for the Verbier 1-day pass.
If the event has to be cancelled, no refunds will be given.
