Temporary closure of Le Châble-Verbier cable car

After 20 years and almost 60,000 hours in operation, the four-seater cable car connecting Le Châble and Verbier requires substantial renovations to be able to handle its next few years of service. This lift has proven highly popular, especially since it became part of the public transport network.

Almost two months of intense work are required to complete these renovations. The cable car will therefore be out of service from 2 May until July 1, inclusive.

The bus company TMR will be providing a replacement bus link between Le Châble and Verbier. Services will run more frequently. Furthermore, throughout this period, the 4 Vallées annual pass will be valid for travel on the 12.251 Le Châble–Verbier line.

The transport of bikes in the Le Châble-Verbier buses is subject to reservation www.resabike.ch. As the number of places is limited, transport without reservation is not guaranteed.

The Ermitage car park (centre of Verbier) will also be made available free of charge from 4 June to 1 July.
